Kim Delaney was an American actor from the United States. Her most well-known role is for her role as the detective Diane Russell, in the ABC series NYPD Blue. For this she won an Emmy Award. Her appearances include All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of an United Auto Workers senior executive as well as a domestic worker was raised by her four siblings. She envisioned becoming a court reporter during her early years, but began modeling at high school, eventually earning commercials when she moved to New York. Her first role as an actor came as a young girl in the soap opera All My Children. Her career as an actor has been awash with numerous television films and dramas. Her career hasn't been satisfying or happy life in her personal. The skilled actor struggled with alcoholism and has had two failed marriages. In 2005 her custody was taken away from her.
